Welcome to New Moston Primary School! I’m Peter Stewart, and I am thrilled to have joined this wonderful school community as Headteacher in January 2025. I’m excited to embark on this journey of building on the school’s strengths, developing new opportunities, and working with our children, families, and staff to ensure we achieve even greater success together.

At New Moston, we believe in the power of education to inspire ambition, foster pride, and transform lives. Every child is unique, and it is our mission to nurture their individuality while equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and values they need to succeed both now and in the future.

Our mission is to build on the strong foundations of continual growth, high standards, positive attitudes and pride. These values underpin everything we do - from our ambitious curriculum and innovative teaching approaches to the way we develop positive attitudes and behaviours in our children. We want every child at New Moston to take pride in themselves, their work, and their school, knowing they are supported to reach their full potential.

I am passionate about creating exciting opportunities for our children to thrive academically, socially, and personally. As we move forward, I’m excited to further develop our curriculum, ensuring it is not only engaging and inclusive but also reflective of the vibrant and diverse community we serve.

New Moston Primary School is proud to be at the heart of the North Manchester community, and we strive to instill local pride while preparing children to make a positive impact on the wider world. Our aim is to encourage children to understand themselves, build meaningful relationships, contribute to their community, and develop a global perspective.

Starting as Headteacher in January 2025, I am eager to work with the entire school community to build on what makes New Moston special and take it to new heights.

My vision is to create a school where every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to grow - both academically and personally.

I am also committed to building strong partnerships with our parents and families. By working together, we can create a supportive and thriving environment where every child feels confident to succeed. Whether through school events, conversations, or shared aspirations, your involvement is key to making New Moston the best it can be.
