Welcome to Year 4 and Oak Class 2022-2023

Please find below information you will need to know this academic year:

PE  and Swimming

Swimming will take place each Tuesday morning at Broadway Baths, Oak class will have their lesson at 10am until 10.40am, you will receive a letter stating the correct kit for your child, please speak to us if you have any questions or issues regarding this. PE lessons will be on Wednesdays. Please make sure your child has a PE Kit in school.  This can be shorts and a t-shirt and jogging bottoms and a jumper when it gets a little chilly! Please leave PE kits in school as PE days can change if and when we have other events happening. PE kits will be sent home half termly.

Homework and Spelling

Homework will be set each Friday on Google Classrooms and will need to be submitted by the following Thursday. The login is the same login used last school year. Spellings will be also be given out each Friday and children will be tested the following Friday.

Reading 

We love reading at New Moston and we actively encourage children to read a wide variety of books.The minimum expectation is that your child reads at least three times a week at home. Please sign and date the yellow reading record when your child reads at home. Please could you send your child’s reading record and book into school every Monday so that their book can be changed if required.
