Apprentice TA Level 3

Overview

At New Moston Primary School, we are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our team while completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while developing practical skills and experience within a supportive primary school environment.

As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, receiving guidance and training as you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for a career in education.

Previous experience of working in a school is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference to children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside teachers and experienced support staff to support teaching and learning within the classroom.
Support individual pupils and small groups with their learning and development.
Help pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
Support children with reading, writing, mathematics and learning across the wider curriculum.
Support pupils with additional needs, under the guidance of teachers and experienced staff.
Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils follow the school’s rules, routines and values.
Help prepare resources and maintain a safe, organised and purposeful learning environment.
Support pupils during activities, transitions and other parts of the school day.
Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Take an active role in apprenticeship training and apply new knowledge and skills within the school setting.
Work towards the successful completion of the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Salary: In accordance with the applicable apprenticeship salary arrangements
Contract: Fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship
Working pattern: Term time only
