Remote Learning Plans 2020-21

We have all now returned to full-time education and we couldn't be happier to have our young people back :)

Although we hope that the majority of our children will now have an uninterrupted return to school, there is still the possibility that an individual child, a class bubble, or indeed the whole school, will need to self-isolate for a period of time.

If this becomes the case we have worked hard to put a plan in place for remote learning so that all children can continue with their education.

This meets the expectations set out in the DfE guidance ‘Remote Education Support’

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/remote-education-during-coronavirus-covid-19

If a child does not have access to a computer/laptop and/or the internet, the school and the local authority will do all it can to support children and will provide paper packs of learning.

If funding can be accessed, remote devices (eg, laptops) and/or 4G connections will be sought, particularly for disadvantaged children.  Parents can make the school aware of any barriers to accessing remote learning. Paper copies will still be available.

Many thanks to Parklands Primary School for sharing their templates :)

Staff have, and continue to, work tirelessly in ensuring that our children are learning and that if your child is self-isolating or if year groups/classes are learning from home, their learning continues.  I extend my thanks to them too.

Additionally and finally a thank you to all of the parents/carers for their messages of support :)

We use Google Classroom for our remote learning.
