6T - Key Information
Homework: Homework is given out on a Friday and will need to be returned the following Thursday. This is an expectation for year 6 as we also want to ensure that your child is ready for their transition to High school.
Spellings: Spellings are given out on a Friday and your child will be tested on these spellings the following Friday. Please can you help your child to practise their spellings. These spellings arr taken from the statutory list for year 5 and 6. This means that your child MUST be able to spell these words by the time they finish year 6.
Reading: In year 6 we expect the children to read at least three times a week and have this recorded and signed in their planner.
Thank you for supporting your child on their learning journey through our school.
Every year we offer booster classes to children to support them with their SAT preparation.
Your child will receive a letter inviting them to these sessions. We would strongly advise and recommend that your child attend these sessions as they will benefit greatly from them.
Your child can come into breakfast club and get a "free" breakfast on their booster day and take it to class to eat it.
Boosters - English and Maths boosters will run from the week beginning 14th January 2019.
English Boosters: Tuesday mornings 8.10 - 8.45am with either Mrs Toshkezi or Mrs Waddell
Maths Boosters: Thursday mornings 8.10 - 8.45am with either Mr Wilson, Miss Swapp or Miss Maynard.
Thank you for your continued support.
